Providing Career Advice and Interview Prep with Per Scholas
On June 13, Lazard Work for Good and the Lazard Black & African American Employee Network partnered to support Per Scholas, a nonprofit aiming to advance economic equity through diversifying the workplace.
The event provided Lazard colleagues with an opportunity to volunteer and give back to communities in need and to support diversity and social impact.
The volunteers conducted mock job interviews with current learners or alumni and shared feedback after completing the interview. Lazard volunteers also reviewed resumes and offered real-time feedback on edits.
Celebrating Juneteenth with Urban Word NYC's Spoken Word Poetry
Lazard colleagues enjoyed a livestreamed performance from Urban Word NYC’s spoken word artists Drew Drake, Fanta Ballo and Kearah-Armonie on June 22.
The artists performed pieces centered around Juneteenth, Black freedom, and Black resistance, followed by a brief Q+A session with the audience.
Black & African American Employee Networking with Barclays and Brookfield Partners
A networking event was hosted by Lazard’s Black & African American Employee Network in conjunction with the Black employee resource groups at Barclays and Brookfield Partners on June 13.
Held at an outdoor terrace space at Hudson Yards, the networking workshop aimed to help professionals cultivate strong relationships at every stage of their career, whether inside the firm or externally.

A welcome breakfast was hosted by Lazard's Black & African American Employee Network for Financial Advisory summer interns in New York on June 15, at which summer associates and summer analysts were able to network with Lazard professionals.
